What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Alfa Romeo? — This water-based leather dye combines care and light colour refreshment — ideal for regularly used Alfa Romeo leather interiors without extensive pre-treatment.
COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) is a pigmented leather dye that conditions and at the same time compensates for minor colour loss in one step. The dye is based on original Alfa Romeo colour samples and is formulated to blend harmoniously into existing surfaces. Perfect for regular care of pigmented smooth leather without the effort of a complete repair.
💡 Detailing1-Workshop practical tip: We use Leather Fresh in our workshop as standard care for every detailing — even if the leather still looks okay visually. 100ml is enough for a complete pair of seats including the steering wheel. Evenly wet a microfibre pad, work in circular motions, polish with a second pad. Looks like new after 5 minutes.
Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) is applied as a care routine every 6–12 months — work in with a microfibre pad, polish with a second pad, done. One application takes about 15–20 minutes per pair of seats.
Before application, the leather is cleaned with leather cleaner and wiped damp. After a short drying time, a microfibre pad is moistened with about 3–5 ml of Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) and worked evenly into the leather surface in circular motions. Immediately polish with a second dry microfibre pad until the typical matt-velvety OEM sheen is achieved.
The water-based care dye penetrates the uppermost pigment layer and simultaneously seals the fibre. In contrast to professional Leather Colour (Alfa Romeo) repair, neither filler nor sanding or top coat are strictly necessary. For heavily used areas such as seat bolsters or steering wheel, top coat can also be applied, which extends the durability to 18–24 months. A 100ml bottle is sufficient for about 2–3 complete care applications.
Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) is the care variant for minor visual imperfections — faded shine, dull spots, superficial colour loss. Deeper abrasions or cracks require the repair stage.
The care dye is formulated to penetrate and refresh the intact pigment layer. However, if the layer is worn through or there are cracks, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area — the fibre becomes visible there and absorbs the colour unevenly. Suede, velour leather and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Alfa Romeo), as their rough fibre structure requires a different carrier solution.
If the leather is only faded or dull, Leather Fresh is the fastest and cheapest solution — about 4–5 euros per care application. If, on the other hand, there are deep abrasion marks or cracks, Leather Colour (Alfa Romeo) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Alfa Romeo colour samples and can be combined.
Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) is the care solution for private customers, frequent drivers and leaseholders who want to regularly refresh their Alfa Romeo leather — without sanding, filler or workshop tools.
The easy application in 15 minutes per pair of seats makes Leather Fresh the standard care for every interior detailing. If you maintain your Alfa Romeo vehicle two to three times a year, the leather will remain optically new and typical abrasion marks on seat bolsters and steering wheel will be prevented. A 1-litre bottle is sufficient for about 30–50 complete care treatments for a mid-range vehicle.
For heavily worn seats with visible abrasion or for a complete preparation before sale, use Leather Colour (Alfa Romeo) or the Leather Care Set (Alfa Romeo) with all components. However, if you want to regularly maintain rather than restore, the 100ml bottle or the 1-litre container of Leather Fresh will suffice.

Añadir Detailing1 como fuente preferida en GoogleCOLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) is a pigmented leather care dye in original Alfa Romeo colours. It conditions the leather, refreshes minor colour loss, and seals the fibre — all in one step.
As a care routine, we recommend Leather Fresh (Alfa Romeo) every 6–12 months. For heavily used vehicles (frequent drivers, returned lease vehicles), every 3–6 months. One application takes approx. 15–20 minutes per pair of seats.
Leather Fresh is the simple care option — no sanding, no top coat required. Leather Colour (Alfa Romeo) is the professional repair with filler, sanding, and top coat sealing. For visible damage → Leather Colour; for dull/slightly faded surfaces → Leather Fresh.
No, not necessarily. Leather Fresh has its own sealing function. However, for heavily stressed areas (seat bolsters, steering wheel), an additional Top Coat Dull or Glossy is worthwhile for maximum abrasion resistance.
Two classics: (1) Leather not cleaned beforehand — care product absorbs unevenly. (2) Too thick a layer applied — feels sticky and remains greasy. Better 2 thin layers than 1 thick one.
No, Leather Fresh is exclusively suitable for pigmented smooth leather (standard in the automotive sector). COLOURLOCK has separate product lines for natural leather, aniline leather or suede.
