The standard workflow only works together with the right cleaning gel — the brush on its own, without Alu-Teufel Spezial Green or a comparable wheel cleaner, is mechanically too gentle to shift brake dust. Before the cleaner stage, give the wheel a rough pre-rinse with a high-pressure jet — that washes off loose dirt and grit.

Spray the wheel cleaner evenly onto the wheel and let it dwell (3 to 5 minutes with Alu-Teufel Spezial). While the chemical reaction runs, dip the TUGA wheel brush into a bucket of clean water, give it a quick shake, then dip it into the loosened gel on the wheel.

Work the bristles into the barrel, the spoke gaps and the inner face of the wheel. The correct method: pull the brush slowly and controlled out of the wheel well, circling slightly so that the gel remains on the rim surface.

After each use, rinse the brush in a bucket of clear water until the water remains clear. Surfactant or acid residues in the fiber tips shorten the lifespan by up to 50 percent and can be unintentionally transferred to other rims during the next application.
