Q²M Tar (REDEFINED) Tar and Resin Remover
GYEON Q²M Tar – Tar and Glue Remover for Paint and Bodywork
What are GYEON Tar Removers? GYEON Q²M Tar Removers chemically dissolve tar splashes, bitumen residues, adhesive residues, and resin stains from paintwork – without mechanical pressure, without scratches, and coating-compatible for safe use on coated vehicles.
Tar splashes and bitumen residues from road surfaces are a common contamination on vehicle undersides, sills, and doors – especially on vehicles that regularly travel on freshly tarred roads or highways. Mechanical scratching is not an option without damaging the paint. GYEON Q²M Tar Remover chemically dissolves these organic contaminations: The solvent penetrates the tar structure, liquefies it, and makes it wipeable – without attacking the paint and without mechanical pressure.
Practical tip from Detailing1: Always apply tar remover selectively – directly onto the contamination, not spread over the entire paintwork. Allow to dwell briefly (30–60 seconds), then wipe gently. For stubborn or dried tar spots, apply twice, do not rub harder. After tar removal, briefly rewash the area.
Tar removal is one of the last steps in the decontamination workflow before polishing or coating. The recommended procedure: Pre-wash → Rust removal (Q²M Iron) → Tar removal → Mechanical decontamination (Cleaning clay) → Post-wash → Degreasing → Polishing or Coating. The tar remover dissolves organic contaminations that other chemical products do not remove – which is why it is a separate step in the professional workflow.
At Detailing1 you will find GYEON Q²M Tar Remover as part of the complete Q²M Maintenance line – for complete chemical decontamination as preparation for polishing and coating.
